INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING OPEN LINES OF EXPORT LIST
- All policies must be coded whether or not the line and class is
eligible for export.
- Classify the policy by the coverage, i.e. property, liability,
package (multi-peril) professional liability, etc.
- After you have located the coverage check to see if the type of
business (i.e., contractor, day care facility, is listed under the
eligible lines of export.
- If you are unable to locate the coverage and type of business under
the eligible lines of export, you must use a code from the ineligible
list and complete the declination detail.
- If you have questions or need assistance in classifying a policy,
please call our office.
- If the policy covers property and liability or property and garage
keepers' legal liability, it is considered a multi-peril or package
policy. Please use the codes listed under the multi-peril
section.
- Personal and commercial vehicles licensed for road use that are not
eligible in the admitted market must be placed in the Nevada Assigned
Risk Program administered by The Western Association of Insurance
Plans at (800) 227-4659. Refer to the eligible list for export for
the coverages that can be written through the surplus lines
market.
