NSLA and the Nevada Division of Insurance have modernized the process for obtaining declinations from admitted insurers while maintaining the important consumer protections of NAC 685.215 (Conditions for Placement). Effective immediately, all new policies requiring declination details will require users to simply check Statement 1 or Statement 2 on the Nevada SLIP Policy Details page. Upon filing the report, pursuant to NRS 685A.050 (Broker's Report) kept by the broker, an updated Diligent Search Statement is available here.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FROM THE NEVADA DIVISION OF INSURANCE

Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute (NRS) 685A.050, "At the time of effecting any surplus lines insurance for which this State is the home state, the broker shall, within 90 days of such insurance is so effected, submit a report in the form prescribed or accepted by the Commissioner, setting forth facts from which it can be determined whether such insurance is eligible for export under NRS 685A.040 (Conditions for Export)." This reminder pertains to the "within 90 days" subclause. New Business or Renewal transactions with a policy effective date of 90 days or more from the submission date will automatically be marked as a late filing and will be assessed a $50 late filing fee.

Batch Filing Upload Feature added to Home Login Page
